Our Story

Thomas and Angela co-founded The Music Yard in 2015, developing it into an award-winning music and arts facility based in Larne, Co. Antrim.

What began as a passion project has grown into a vibrant community hub offering performing arts, music, dance, drama, and wellbeing workshops, as well as private music tuition, which is now managed by trusted colleagues Lee and Vicky McFarland.

Driven by a shared commitment to inclusion and creativity, Thomas and Angela aim to make the arts accessible to everyone, regardless of background or ability.

Together with their dedicated team, they bring a wealth of experience in delivering meaningful, person-centred workshops to a wide range of groups, including:

Children and adults with learning or physical disabilities

Individuals with additional needs

People affected by brain trauma or dementia

Early years children, primary and secondary school children and older adults

Blind or partially sighted children

Individuals experiencing mental health challenges

Vulnerable adults and those recovering from substance misuse
